It seems as if we are missing the strip where Jonny opens the bookshelf and they enter the room.

It’ll be another couple weeks before I start uploading new material, but I’m hoping to keep it going for a long while, this time!

Wow, this is great stuff! You should set this up on Patreon or something… Is there going to be an actual book at some point?

I hope so! I started this comic originally in 2004– and I haven’t really updated it in almost 5 years. I’m currently writing the last 40 pages of the story and I hope to be updating regularly again in another couple weeks. Once I’ve got the whole thing laid out and written, I want to start looking around for a publisher.
      Thanks for commenting!

I’ve got the script for the rest of the story done, I’ve got layouts for the next 20 pages done, and as soon as I get the rest of chapter 3 all drawn and ready to post, I’ll start uploading again! I want to build up a little bit of buffer before I get going.

    Hi Les,
I’ve done an up to date french translation with your new bigger stips and a new font
The point is about the 5 poem parts
Refering your page 81 strip 1, with the new sentences, I shared it that way
part 3 on page 11 (easier for french lettering than page 12)
    part 4 on page 12
    part 5 on page 29
    part 2 on page 39
    part 1 on page 81

    so we could read on page 81 stip1 : 1 and then 2, 3, 4 and 5
    with your existing drawing
(I miss the fifth new sentence you never send)
Tell me if you agree or not ?
    Thanks a lot
    Friendly

I’ve actually rewritten the whole poem again, so I’ll be changing it in the archives when I start updating again. I’m building up a large backlog of comics before I start posting them, but I hope to start them up shortly.

I’m having a little trouble understanding your message about page 81– I haven’t reposted it because I wasn’t happy with it and I’ve redrawn it. The new page 81 will be the first new comics to go up when I start updating again.

    Hello,

Having read all of the Tintin books, I recognized many of the references, and I have of course a good idea of where that treasure lies.

    Great adventure and great art.

    Les,
Could you tell me what means
“Verily froth the gormy ives” on page 46 ?
I don’t find anything about it.
    Thanks a lot

It’s just nonsense verse. It doesn’t mean anything (and I don’t think “gormy” or “ives” are even real words.)

I’ve just finished binging on the whole archive and I have to say I’m really impressed! The story is great, the art is amazing… can’t wait for more. I’m especially impressed with Gretchen. It’s so nice to see a leading lady who wears low shoes and ties back her hair to go adventuring!

Thanks! I’ve got several more pages drawn but I want to have through the end of chapter 3 done before I start updating again– I want to have a good supply of comics ready to go so I don’t have to have any more long breaks!

Finally finished it! What a great comic! It went offline before I got a chance to finish it before, so I’m glad I go caught up.

Hopefully you are planning on continuing with the story and setting a Patreon.

Things are going a little slower than I’d hoped, but I’m still working on it! http://jonnycrossbones.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Screen-Shot-2015-10-30-at-12.10.22-PM-1024×731.jpg
