I’m weeping for that beautiful secret room going up in flames.
You know, in looking back over this page, I realize what it reminds me of: the building-on-fire sequence from the original MIGHTY JOE YOUNG, with Joe rescuing the orphans via a nearby tree. Just the layout here is reminiscent of that scene. Accident?
I do often wear my influences on my sleeve, but this one was an accident! I’ve never seen that movie.
