Jonny Crossbones: Dead Man at Devil's Cove is an ongoing adventure comic for all ages. Follow Jonny, a young auto mechanic in a skeleton suit, as he and Gretchen Fiveash, the niece of a wealthy adventurer, set out on a globetrotting hunt for pirate treasure!
First time readers might be best served by starting at the beginning of Chapter One.
I found Jonny Crossbones only a while ago and still can’t believe how I could have missed out on this for so long. I started reading the archives, just couldn’t stop, and now I’m here and thoroughly swept off my feet. Love the classic Tintin vibes, too. Thank you for posting this amazing comic online and for all the hard work you’re putting into it.
I’m afraid I was a bit confused at times which lines of old captain Strangler’s poem they had, which were still missing and how they could eventually put all of them together, even if they couldn’t get the pistol from the police in chapter 3, but perhaps it’s just a slip of attention on my part.
In any case, this comic is awesome and I’m a fan now. Keep up the great work!
Man, I got confused too. I started on this story back in 2004 and I was working from a very loose outline and forgot what I’d already established a couple times. I need to go back and do an edit pass to make sure everything makes sense once I’m done.
It just gets better….
