Oops!
I broke the site for about a half hour, there. Sorry about that! I’m having RAM issues on my server, and I’m not sure what’s causing them. I don’t actually track the traffic here, so I don’t know if I’m having a hotlinking issue or what. I was trying to set up the server-level tracking and I broke the site for a little while.
I think I’ve got it all in hand, now, at least!
Well now I know that you aren’t racking up the score whenever people visit the site. Fooey. I always like thinking that when I take a look at some web site I really like the creator will see the count of that visit and feel heartened and patted on the back across the ether. Oh well.
I used to track, but I felt like I was getting too invested in traffic numbers and it was distracting me from the work, so I stopped. It made me happier to not worry about readership so much. I know I’ve got longtime readers like you who are still enjoying the story, and that’s good enough for me.
