Love that old comic style!
Is this a new page then? Because I’m sure I recognise the photo on the bottom-left panel…
And congrats for being exhibited!
This is an old one, and, unfortunately, the last one until I can get the next page reworked. I’ve been busier than I expected, but I have had the chance to rewrite and start re-roughing the next 40 pages. I just wasn’t happy with the way they were before.
So, how long before we see new pages? Next year? I’m willing to wait (though none of us want to!)
I love this, the art, style and written font is very Tintin-esque – you even at the start of this story have Capt. Haddock’s twin brother as a chauffer!
I just want to know is it a tribute or have you learned from Herge’s art or from an art school with his influences or something?
It’s the Ligne Claire style of drawing/comics. Developed in France and Belgium, I think, with Tintin being the most popular comic to utilise it. Personally, I love it! It’s so clean.
Hi Les,
Stumbled across your Johnny Crossbones webcomic the other day and couldn’t stop reading it until I’d caught up. I absolutely LOVE your style and storytelling. I’m an instant fan and can’t wait for more!!!
Hope you won’t mind my saying, but your work reminds me of a modern – and better drawn – Tintin. Loving it!!!

Hahaha… sorry. I didn’t read the comments above mine. Oh well…
Happy New Year, Les!
