First and only language. And I’m a big reader and have a pretty good vocabulary. Heck I read mostly fantasy that you expect it. Maybe I forgot it, or just never noticed it.

There were. They’re missing the line from one of them. I haven’t uploaded the corrected pages yet, so the number of pistols changes a bit, the poem is completely different that it was before, and they have a line they’re not supposed to back in chapter 1. It’ll make sense once I get it all edited properly.

Yeah, copse isn’t exactly an everyday word, but it is fairly common in books and stuff. Is English your first language?
